About Stephanie Kamari
When I was a few months old, my doctors noticed that my head was growing faster than my chest, which is a sign of a serious disability called Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and is deadly if not treated.  To correct this, they put a shunt (tube with a machine set to drain a specific amount of brain fluid) from my head to my stomach which drained the extra fluid that was building up in my brain. They told my parents that I would either be cross-eyed or have Cerebral Palsy. I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.

At the age of 3 or 4 I was Peoria, Illinois Easter Seal Poster Child which led me to participate in many public activities and be  a local celebrity.  Since my rein of Easter Seal's Poster Child.  I was also involved in many beauty pageants during this time.

In my life, I have noticed that there are times when various groups are underprivileged and that everyone should have equality.  Therefore, I have spent my life on earth trying to make it happen.  As well as my mission of aiding the disabled around the world, I have worked with asylum seekers and refugees in England, Uganda and Kenya.  I have been involved in politics since I could vote and have tried to make a difference that way.  I believe the more awareness there is about a certain topic, such as disabilities or asylum seeking, there will be more understanding and acceptance.  I have traveled to 31 countries and have tried to help formulate ways of helping those who are underprivileged in their home country.  Many times, they are a forgotten population.

I have been an advocate for the disabled and underprivileged for my entire life and now would like to take it to the big screen in hopes of encouraging other disabled people to follow their dreams and let no one destroy what they desire to do.

My goals in acting are to be the best I can be.  I don't want to put any limitations on myself in roles because I love being challenged and stretched to the limit.  I believe in the power of positive thinking and working hard to reach your maximum potential.  Acting is amazingly rewarding, yet challenging.  It has been a complete change in my life whereby I can become someone else and develop into a character that is completely different from myself.
